Chelsea Caruso has been recognized over the past decade for her trademark approach to hair color. Chelsea’s seasoned stroke and developed eye for highlight design has allowed her to produce work with dimensional flare. Chelsea is no stranger to setting the tone amongst her fellow artists, not only in the world of hair painting but as an educator as well.

Chelsea’s career began in 2012 at her home of Gerber Salon in Keyport, New Jersey. Without hesitation, she gravitated towards the craft of hair painting. Within her first two years behind the chair, her career broke out as she was recognized by leading social media platforms and artists.

As a gifted communicator, Chelsea has become an internationally known artist in the hair painting education sector, teaching artists worldwide her signature art of contouring hair color. In 2015 Chelsea, released an online education program of a three-part DVD series on her hair painting techniques. Along her education journey, Chelsea branded her own esteemed hair tool by collaborating with the dignitary brand, Framar. In 2017, Chelsea was sought out by the global pioneers of hair painting, Victoria Hunter and Larry Raspanti, to become one of the first Whittemore House Hairpaint Ambassadors. By 2020, Chelsea was leader and founder of The Platform Group Collective, a team of artists teaching in person and online education.

Chelsea’s evolution of hair painting encompasses natural rhythm of light reflection and tone in the hair. Her love for connecting hair color to hair shapes is what sets her work apart. Leaving an undeniable footprint in the industry, Chelsea views her accomplishments as motivation to continue spreading knowledge and confidence with her effortless approach to hair painting.
